Glentanner Park is the holiday park and activity centre for the Aoraki/Mt Cook region. Conveniently located just 18km from Mt Cook National Park, Glentanner offers motel style units, standard and basic cabins, backpackers, powered RV sites and tent sites. Glentanner has great facilities for cyclists including secure storage for bikes, laundry, kitchen, BBQ pavilion, and friendly and helpful staff that can help you plan your trip. The Helicopter Line Mount Cook operate from Glentanner, so you can take a flight to meet up with the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail. We are also a great stop point for those cycling from Mt Cook Village to Twizel. Other activities include helicopter flights with snow landings, scenic plane flights, helihiking, walks, hunting and fishing. Glentanner Station runs merino sheep, and fittingly sells merino garments in the Merino Retail and Souvenir Shop located in the centre – a great product for cyclists! With panoramic views of Aoraki Mt Cook and Lake Pukaki, Glentanner is a must do for anyone travelling in the region.
