GBD offers an array of delicious, affordable meals, and options of buffet or set menus for large groups, (conditions apply). Weekend breakfast from 8.30 at the G.B.D. Weekdays, there is an excellent cafe next door opening at 6.30am.We are ideally situated to take full advantage of all the Coromandel has to offer. The historic Junction Hotel Est. 1869 is located in the famous Grahamstown sector of downtown Thames. Its location lends it to superb shopping, delightful cafes, elegant sunset walks by the sea, incredible bush walks, many informative museums relating to Thames' former gold mining days, and the best views of the well preserved St. James Church (an icon for the Coromandel). While in Thames be sure to check out the regional and local arts, crafts, clothing, and organics every Saturday at the well known Thames Market (8am-1pm) located just outside the hotel. And in the tradition of good old N.Z.hotels, there is a band playing in the public bar downstairs most friday nights..
