Get a glimpse of rural New Zealand at the Feilding Sale Yards

TAP FOR MORE INFO:

Bustling, noisy, smelly and fascinating, the Feilding Sale Yards provide a dynamic insight into the workings of New Zealand’s farming industry.

Every week the sales at Feilding see an influx of sheep, cattle, deer and busy working dogs as livestock is traded.

From the elevated walkways, you can look down on patchwork pens of stock awaiting sale and transport to their new homes.

The sale yards are free to visit, or you can take a guided tour with a knowledgeable local stock agent to get insights into different animal breeds, stock values and the workings of the auction room while learning about the history of New Zealand’s livestock sales that date all the way back to the 1880s.
