How accurate are these in terms of metres/feet?
I don't have one but I used one in a rental car getting around Auckland and found it very helpful - would love one!

Accuracy varies based on where you are. 5 metres is pretty average, but a number of factors can impact on that. It comes down largely to how many satellites it can connect to.

A car is surrounded by metal, so placing the unit on the windscreen of the car on the mount provides the best performance. Sometimes the signal can be affected by bouncing off tall city buildings, or shadows of hills and mountains.
