I would like to see your recommendations for tyres for my 2009 Suzuki Grand Vitara Ltd
Size 225 65/R17
My running is all on road
I would like a choice if possible with the pros and cons

If possible, the Original Equipment manufacturer's tyre is always the first choice. The Grand Vitara had Bridgestone 687's as OE supply and while these retail for close to $300 each, they are a great tyre and if the budget runs to it, that would be the first choice. If you shop around you should be able to get a reasonable discount.
For a more budget option, but still a very good tyre, the Hankook RA23 is also a good option.
There are numerous lesser brands (generally of Chinese manufacturer) on the market these days, some of the brand names which we have never heard of.
While some are good, some are not that great in certain conditions. As these vary greatly in quality and we struggle to keep up with the many different brands, as well as getting a clear idea of which are good and which are not, unless you're buying on price alone (and when safety is a factor, it's not advisable), it's best to stick with a known and recognised brand.
