Hello I am wanting to put a bench seat in the back of my 1999 Mitsi L300, I've heard they need to be certified. What are the requirements and how would I go about installing a seat in the back? Please help!
Any modification affecting seating and seat belts needs to be passed by a Low Volume Vehicle certifier.
The best advice is to make contact with an LVV certifier prior to commencement of any work to ensure the work you intend to do wil meet all requirements. We've heard of cases where someone carries out all the work and then finds it doesn't meet the standards, so they have to rip it out and start again.
