Hi there,

As the title above states I am wondering if the 2007 1.8ltr CVT version of the Nissan Wingroad would be a good option for a next car and if anyone has had any previous experience owning one. I am only asking this because recently I was in an accident where my car was sandwiched between two bigger cars and was written off. I need a new car quickly and a Wingroad seems to be good for my purposes (going camping once a year and commuting a short distance weekdays). I have a few specific questions about the car. A - Is it reliable? I only ask this because I have heard that CVT transmissions can be unreliable. B - Will it last into the future if it is cared for. C - Is it a nice car to own, does it ride nicely etc...

If anyone can answer any of these questions it would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Lauchlan

Hello I personally have not owned one, but thought I'd give you some information. $3300 seems like quite a good price but the vehicle may have higher mileage.
You would need to look at its service history and previous use carefully, Has the transmission been serviced? CVT transmissions can prematurely fail if the vehicle is regularly overloaded.

As a side note I'm sorry you became part of a unintentional sandwich.

Hello, The car has been serviced twice in the year that the previous owner has had it. The transmission has recently been flushed and serviced and the brake pads for the front and back were replaced. It has done 206,000 kms at this stage.

I am having trouble organizing to have an AA check done before buying this car. The owner and car are at 122 Newton Road, Eden Terrace and it said when I filled in online form that AA does not do mobile checks in that area. I dont have transport to get around and dont have a mobile number at the moment to call. Trying to organize a check online is proving difficult. What should I do? Is it the norm to ask the owner to traipse out with the car to get it checked for me? I that car buying etiquette? The car is 207000 kms on the clock so think it should be checked
