I am looking at buying a car from Turner's Auction/ Trademe (1300358234). The car has a current WOF which expires 16/09/17. It is being advertised as having a Buy Now which will include a current WOF, registration, and all on-road costs.

Am I able to insist that the car has a WOF less than 1 months old if I buy it?

Hi there,
It is a legal requirement for a vehicle to have a wof no longer than 28 days old, private sellers can contract out of this by selling a car "as is where is". However a dealer can't sell a car "as is" and therefore can't contract out.
Turners cars can be a little confusing as to whether they are private or dealer sales, so maybe ask for clarification. https://www.nzta.govt.nz/assets/resources/factsheets/41/docs/41-buying-selling-your-obligations.pdf

It has not been advertised "as is, where is" so irrespective, it needs a new WOF?
