Hi, I am looking for a used SUV with a budget spend up to $30k. Both Audi Q5 and Rav 4 are the models I am looking at. Between them which might be the better SUV regarding reliability, maintenance cost, performance, fuel economy, etc? Also does RAV4 have the CVT issue reported regularly?

2018 Toyota RAV4 GX 2.0P 14,600 km
2013 Audi Q5 2.0 TFSi S LINE QUATTRO 74,400km

Thanks

Hello you are looking at two quite similar, but very different vehicles.

The Audi will have a superior ride and comfort features however its maintenance will be more expensive especially if a major component fails eg a megatronics failure.

The Toyota RAV 4 will be cheaper to maintain it is a good choice, it is also newer and we have not had any complaints with these CVT transmissions.

Economy wise the Audi averages 6.7 l /100 of premium fuel and the RAV4 consume 7L/100 of regular 91.
