Hi there,

My partner and I are looking at buying a second hand car and are tossing up buying a European car. I know that in the past, European cars have been considerably more expensive to service/repair than Japanese car. I am wondering if this is still the case?

Hi there,
Yes this can be the case, as the European manufactured vehicles tend to have a lot more advanced technology (expensive things to go wrong) and you tend to pay a specialist to repair which also costs a bit more too. A European vehicle as it ages past 10 years will often require more money spent in maintenance and repairs than often experienced with Japanese.
