I am looking a second car, which we intend to use on holidays etc. It has to be a station wagon, van etc.

We have 3 dogs, one is the size of a newfoundland - 60 kgs so when she stands up in a station wagon visability may be an issue.

any suggestions and best brand and model to get my budget is $8000 to $10,000

I have already asked about cvt transmissions so can you recomment vehicle without such.

The Mazda Premacy or MPV will be a good choice as they have a good reputation. Others to consider are the Toyota Wish and Ipsum although some models are CVT - avoid the CVT versions. Try finding a vehicle with a good service history and low mileage.

The Mazda MPV is the largest out of the four vehicles I have recommended and might be a better fit for three dogs.

You should have a Pre-Purchase inspection carried out before purchasing a vehicle.

thanks
I need a car with head room - its a really BIG dog when is stands up - what about a people mover? or a honda crv?

will research all the suggestions you have just given

The Mazda MPV/Premacy and Toyota Wish/Ipsum are big people movers (large wagons) and the MPV has more head room than a Honda CRV. In this price range these vehicles are good choices to consider.
