Hello,
I am buying a second hand car and my sites are set at the momenton a toyota wish,
I can afford anything up to $10,000 including having a tow bar and roof rack installed.
I tried a car that was a new import with vvti transmission. It took a lomg time to get into overdrive and seemed like it had too high a rev for the speed I was going.
Are the ctv and vvti in cars that are 2004 and 2005 to be avoided?
What about 2006 models?
I heard that both make the car more economical to drive which is a huge plus.

In the year range you have mentioned (2004 - 2006) the 2.0L Wish will have a CVT transmission which is best to try avoid and the 1.8L should have a conventional 4-speed automatic transmission that's a better option.

The VVTi relates to the engine which isn't a problem and the CVT relates to the transmission - they are two different items.

You should also consider the Mazda Premacy - it has a good reputation and a four or five speed automatic transmission (depending on model and year).
