Hi

We are looking at a 2004 Toyota Wish, 1800cc, which has very low km's and appears a good buy.

The only question I have is if there is a significant difference between the 1800 and 2l Wishes, and it's worth paying extra for a 2l?

Thanks!

The 2004 Toyota Wish 1.8L with a four-speed conventional automatic transmission is the better choice in this case as the 2.0L version has a D4 motor and CVT transmission which are better to avoid in this year range. If you are looking for a 2.0L MPV then consider having a look at the Mazda Premacy.

Give me a 1.8 over a 2.0 any day! The 1.8 has the ultra reliable Corolla engine and 4 speed automatic transmission. The 2.0 has the D4 engine which has a reputation for being less reliable and is known to suffer running problems and carbon build up (which is an expensive repair). It also has the less desirable CVT transmission.
I'm surprised the 2.0 litre is more expensive, as the 1.8 is the one to have.
