Hi, We are currently looking at upsizing and are keen on the mazda MPVs. It is so hard to find information on the net about the newer models and can only find reviews for ones up til about 2006.

The one we are currently looking at is a 2010 and only done 70k, and at a very good price, lower than a lot of older and higher km ones we have found so just have a question about this. It is a 23c - Is this the basic version, so main differences to the sport and turbo are not having the frills like the grills, spotlights, spoiler, reversing camera, steering wheel controls etc? We are not fussed about these (though considering getting a reversing camera at some stage) and if these are the only differences then thats fine with us. We are just a bit stymied with the great price compared to other older models with higher kms.

We would get an AA pre-inspection just to make sure before we purchase but are these the main differences and this is just the basic model?

Thanks heaps

The Mazda MPV basic specification is the 23C (available in 2WD and 4WD) then it goes up to the 23F, 23S and the top spec 23T - the things that differ include items such as Xenon headlights, privacy glass, mag wheels, sliding electric doors, powered tailgate, keyless entry, proximity sensors, rain and light sensors (auto activation of lights and wipers), navigation system (Japan), interior trim and climate control air-conditioning. Some versions can also be 4WD.

There will normally be a slight difference in pricing as the higher specification models are more desirable but it isn't normally a huge difference. Low mileage is preferable and will attract a premium price tag too so in your case it would raise a few questions and I would strongly suggest you have a Pre-Purchase inspection carried.
