This vehicle that i'm looking to buy, "vehicle usage" is currently registered as taxi on the VIR report. And it has a Certificate of Fitness (CoF) rather than Warrant of Fitness (WoF). I'm a student and I was wondering if i bought this car for personal use, will I need to update the vehicle status as in (taxi/private car) on the next time I relicence the car? Or is there any other way of doing it? Or it does not matter at all and I can just stick with Certificate of Fitness when I renew it. Much thanks.

This is quite a simple process. You need to fill in an MR14 form (available at an AA Testing Station), to change the usage from Taxi to Private, then the vehicle will only need to have WoFs rather than CoFs, which are more expensive.
