DEMIO IMPORT What years to avoid problems cvt etc?

To our knowledge, models prior to 2007 didn't have the CVT, but we're often surprised by unusual spec cars from Japan.
Some of the post 2007 1.3 litre Demios and most (if not all) 1.5 litre models had CVT.
Ask the dealer which transmission the car has and they are obligated to tell you.
If you go for a New Zealand new Mazda2 from this era (which is really the same car with a different badge), it will not have a CVT.

2 part question: Does the Mazda Demio Verisa have CVT and if so what years? - : Does the Mazda- 2/ Demio/ Verisa post 2007 have a better CVT than previous generations?

I don't believe the Verisa ever had CVT. According to data we have, the Verisa used the same 4 speed auto as the NZ new Demio. But like the Demio which in some cases could be fitted with either transmission, it's an imported model and so as a cautionary note, I'd still make sure before making a purchase.
