Hello,

I have to sell my car above its done 120,000km and it needs the CVT replaced probable cost $2000 at least so what if anything would I expect to get for it with still to be fixed it is otherwise in good nick ? If it is hardly anything what is my next option see how much the car scrap yard will give me for it or how much at auctions they would pay me for it? do I have any other options? I can't use it as a trade in as it is guarantee for a personal loan so any proceeds if any from sale will go to offset that loan a bit I guess

I'd be very surprised if the CVT trans could be repaired for $2,000. Unfortunately, in this condition you'll be lucky to get more than a few hundred dollars for the car, and of course, you'll need to settle the finance before you can sell it.
Generally speaking, in these situations most people resolve themselves that the only option is to sell the vehicle for whatever they can get - and we did hear of someone recently who advertised their car on Trade Me with a $1 reserve and it got bid to $700, so they were very happy.
There are no guarantees, but this is also the approach I'd take.
