Hi there
My partner and I are looking to upgrade from a 1996 Nissan Sentra. We currently do about 15k-20k/year on open roads - ski roads, gravel roads etc, and also use the car as a run around about Auckland (once or twice a week). We like the storage capacity of the 1996 Sentra and the size of the car and would be looking for something that could offer similar space and size but a higher performance, as we find the 1.6l engine struggles occasionally.
Our budget is $10-$12k, and would be hoping to get something that has done less than 120,000kms.
Are there any particular makes/models that you would suggest we should be looking at?

Hello Tracey,
As per your previous post, I think the Impreza, Mazda3 and Corolla you were considering would all be good choices. As I said previously, being AWD, the Impreza would perhaps be the best for your snow/gravel road trips.
