Hi,

Which one is suggestedly better to choose from for the same model;

- car with 55000 KM's , year 2005
- car with 71000 KM's , year 2006

Thanks

ABayliss

55,000km car is best. One year's difference as a car ages is irrelevant.

I have been quoted $14000 for this 2005 model honda.
Is this in line with the model/year value.

Thanks.

ABayliss

Sounds a lot for a car that's nearly 10 years old. What model?

rv1103

Thats a Civic.
Similary, a toyota Allion 2005, with about 60000KM's is also being quoted on the same price range.

Appreciate inputs.

ABayliss

Definitely at the top end of the price range from what I could see here. But if it's NZ New, from a Honda dealer with all the consumer protection that extends to you, perhaps it's OK?

rv1103

Thanks.
What should be its price if doesn't come with the consumer protection stuff like warranty etc.?

ABayliss

When you buy from a licensed motor vehicle dealer, these consumer protections under the Consumer Guarantees Act etc are written into law and a dealer can't contract out of them, so they're automatically extended to you. This is why you will always pay a little more when buying from a dealer.
