Hi

I currently drive a 2001 Toyota Fielder, 1.8L, very happy with it.
However we are looking for a bit more room for the new addition to the family.
Although the car would be used generally for the wife and I plus one. On long trips we may seat up to 5.
Is there a SUV or Wagon that you could recommended that may offer a bit more room, not so fussed with power more concerned about fuel efficiency. Budget would be around $20,000.
Thanks!

By their very nature (ie; size, weight and mostly being 4WD) SUVs tend to be a little less economical than passenger cars, but if you have a particular need for such a vehicle, it's the trade-off you'll need to make.
The smaller SUVs such as the Toyota RAV4, Honda CRV etc, which fall into this price range can offer some practicality, but while there is a little more passenger room, in real terms they do not offer a great deal more cargo space than your Toyota Fielder.
Having said that, these are both popular models and if it's the type of vehicle that will suit your needs, these are the two models I'd suggest you look at first.
Regarding wagons, the Mazda6 wagon, Toyota Avensis or Toyota Caldina could be worth a look.
Other vehicles that might suit your purpose are perhaps the semi-people movers such as Mazda Premacy or MPV, Toyota Ipsum or Wish style of vehicles.
