I am very intereseted in buying a used Mazda Premacy 2005 newly imported from Japan but there are so many options out there even with the average monetary budget that I have. Are they supposed to have the same features/specs for this particular model year? If not, what are the best features/specs to look for? Does a more expensive one of the same year guarantee to be better at all? (referring to car dealers/yards for all my queries) Any thoughts will be highly appreciated and will surely help me decide. Thank you!

There are a few derivatives for the Mazda Premacy; such as 20C, 20S and 20Z for instance. The 20C is normally the lower spec'd version and the 20S has slightly more extras and the 20Z should be the higher spec'd version. But, you can look out for items such as seat arm rests for the first and second row seats, radio control switches on the steering wheel, electric sliding doors which can open with the touch of a button inside the vehicle and by using the switch on the key, proximity keys (no need to insert a key into a lock barrel), sportier look which normally includes side skirts, mag wheels, fog lamps on the front bumper. The higher spec'd model normally has features such as these. There are a lot of 20S models around whereas the 20Z models are harder to find. Use the 20C, 20S and 20Z as a guideline only as they can sometimes vary. The price won't indicate whether it's a better vehicle.

Thanks a lot Donavan for the very helpful feedback. Now I can continue shopping with more confidence than I used to.
