Hi there I am looking to buy some sort of people mover as soon as I know which one to get would really appreciate any buying advice for make/model budget rnd 10 - 12 k mark. Thanks

You are in a good position to be able to find a good vehicle as there are numerous possibilities in this price range.
Depending on the size of people mover you want, some good models to consider would be the Mazda Premacy or Toyota Ipsum or Wish. The Honda Odyssey could also be a consideration, although we have heard of some transmission failures with the Odyssey.
If you want something a bit bigger, probably the Toyota Estima or Previa range would be the most popular.
