Hi, I'm just asking on behalf of my friend who's planning to buy a 1998-2000 Honda Capa - any issue on this? Is this reliable? Originally he plans to buy a 2005 Honda Airwave but we read that we stay away from this model due to it's CVT component, any alternative model under Honda? Does Honda Edix ok? He wants to have a spacious one but not as long as a station wagon, any models that you can recommend please such as under Toyota or Mazda? Thanks!

Beware of the Capa too, as many of these have a CVT transmission, and as you say, the earlier Honda CVTs were a problem. The Edix should be OK, as I don't think any of those have the CVT, but it would pay to check the specific car you're interested in.
Others to consider would be the Toyota Fun Cargo or Mazda Verisa.
