Hi

I am currently looking at a few Subaru Legacy's 3.0 6 cylinder B-Spec's (2004-2006) - preferably a manual.

Firstly, in your experience are these a reliable vehicle? Is there anything to watch out for?

One of the vehicles I am looking at has recently had it's centre differential replaced which I understand is a fairly expensive repair - should this cause concern for any other potential failures or possible abuse or missed servicing?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards

Hi there,
These are great vehicles, hard to find in manual. Plenty of power, very reliable. But a bit thirsty on fuel.
Centre diff replacement is not too common, more so on the wrx. It may have developed a shudder when turning tight. Not sure exactly on a reason for this, sometimes different tyre sizes or space saver use on long distances could be a factor.
