I am selling a vehicle privately. Is there any way the prospective purchaser can obtain a warranty? Naturally, the car would need to be inspected and certified as suitable for a warranty to be applied but is it possible?

The buyer can purchase an AA Mechanical Breakdown Insurance Policy. But this is not the same as a new car warranty. Call 0800 500 333 Option 1 for information or see the AA website. The vehicle will need a current pre purchase inspection or mechanical inspection in order to obtain the policy.
