Hey I am in need of some advice. I currently own an 07 VW Jetta GTI Jap import with 45,000kms but am looking at a couple of Passat R36s they're both NZ New one is an 08 and has 80,000kms the other is an 09 and has just under 100,000kms. Would I be silly to trade in or sell my low kms car for one of those? Does it matter if NZ New with those kms? They're both from dealers.

Hi there,
Personally I would prefer an older car with lower km's than the other way round.
You will be able to do more mileage without losing too much money for resale.

I'm not bothered bout resale value I'll probably end up keeping it til it dies or can buy something better without needing to sell it. Just more concerned bout the mechanical side of things whether it'll be better mechanically and quality keeping a older Jap import with low kms or buying a newer NZ New with higher kms.
