I'm looking at purchasing a 2003 Toyota Camry, which I'm told uses a litre of oil per 1500kms. This seems like a lot to me, coming from my current car (1993 Toyota Corolla) which doesn't require oil top ups between services. My question is whether this is something I should be concerned about- is it likely to indicate an issue with the car?

Hi there,
I would stay away from a vehicle using this much oil, that's 6.6 ltrs of oil per 10,000kms.
This is very excessive and not normal.
It would be more acceptable for a vehicle to need up to a litre between services.
