I am looking at buying an old car that has already been imported from the USA and still has to have the compliance done so it can be vinned.
Once it passes compliance should I still get an AA Check done before I purchase it?

Hi there, because it's such an old car you may need an inspection from a workshop that specialises in older vehicles. Our inspection will let you know of any corrosion, every little dent, oil leak, ect. But they wont go into diagnosing and giving costs of repair ect.
A check from somewhere is always recommended to help make an informed decission.

What does an AA check cost? and secondly do you know any where that specialises in old cars?
