What are your thoughts on these as have decided not to buy a mazda 2 or 3
Volkswagen Polo Facelift 2009 or similar

I think they are great little cars, just bear in mind they cost a little more to maintain, they like better quality of oil ect. You may find European fit and finish quality to your liking.
We haven't heard many if any negative reports on these cars.

TS-I 1400cc is a model for sale. It seems too cheap for a 2009 with around 50,000km on it.

Is it a non turbo? As we don't want a turbo.

This one is, all Polos from 2009 seem to be turbo. It keeps the engine size down but still has the power when you need it. So a good balance of power and economy.
Most European cars are turbo now.
