I am wanting to replace my 1997 Toyota Corolla and need a car that is economical as will be driving 3 trips of 80kms a day 5 days a week, most will be on the open road. Big enough for two adults and two kids. I have looked at Mazda 3 /axella (quite expensive) ,Toyota Runx and have looked at the nissan Tiida but am worried about the CVT , also have looked at toyota corolla feilder. Are any of these good choices and what would be the better? Any issues with them to look for?

Hi there,
The Toyota Allex is 1.5 and doesn't seem to have a cvt, also how about a Suzuki Swift?
The Tida did have issues with transmission shuddering, however the transmission specialists say that most of the time it can be fixed with a flush and correct fluid used.
Maybe even something from the Honda range, Accord,Civic, Stream ect.

Is the Runx and Allex the same?

Yes they are esentially the same.
