I have been looking for a car for a while and have whittled it down to a Corolla Fielder.

So far the 2004 models have been tempting, because they're obviously cheaper than anything newer, and still test drove well.
However, I noticed that on the AA list of 'top 5 station wagons under $12000' list, that it was noted that the good Fielders are around the 2005 mark.

Is there really much a difference between the years 2004 through 2007?
Is it worth the extra grand or two to go post 2005?

Thanks.

Hi there, the 9th generation Fielder was from 2000-2006 so the car is pretty much the same between 04-05. So no big difference between the two.

Hi Cade, thanks for the reply.

Is that inclusive of 2006? Or did the new generation start coming out in 2006?

If I were to look at a 2007 fielder, what is different between the generations? Is it worth the extra money?

Cheers.

Hi there,
The changeover is from October 2006, so there would be old and new models available in 2006.
The newer model is quite a different car, and naturally would be a better version than the previous, but you would also pay more than the previous model. The first model of a newer generation may be of more valuable than the last model of an older generation.

Do you know what I can look for to tell the difference between early and late 2006 models?

This is what I can see that shows the difference between the two.
