Hello,

Am looking at purchasing a Subaru Legacy 3.0L. Would appreciate some guidance on what to look out for/known issues on this model, and any pricing info.

Details: NZ new, 2007 model, 3 owners - within same family since 30k's. Service history. Leather seats. Has done 127,000k's.

Understand from forums that this engine is chain driven (EZ30D?) though not 100% certain - may have been the first of the chain driven Subaru engines? Potentially no issues there if so at 127k, but might there be other things to look out for?

Can you offer some indicative pricing guidance?

Many thanks!

Hi there,
The Subaru six cylinder H6 engine has been chain driven for a long time, a very strong engine and no major problems to list.
The vehicle itself is a very good reliable car. Occasionally they need the rear door locking units replaced if they wont lock/ unlock with the remote, and maybe a wheel bearing hub at some stage. But both are not too much of an issue, just things I replaced when I worked for a Subaru workshop.
Market/ Private sale value looks to be around the 11-12k for 130km on the clock.
