Hello, what is the market value for a 1997 automatic Honda Crv that's done 143,000km with cambelt replaced at 95,000km? What repairs or service costs will be expected in the future? How does the awd system work on it? I understand that power goes to the rear wheels when the front wheels detect slippage and is a hydraulic system? Thankyou

Hi there,
Our system lists a market value of $3,800-$4,800 for the 96 CRV. But I recommend supplementing this value with similar vehicles on trade me to give a good average price point.
For a 97 vehicle I would expect that general maintenance and repairs would be increasing as components start wearing out and may start requiring minor work required to pass a wof. I have heard that the rear differential oil requires regular changes (maybe every few years) or could become noisy. This is not a big deal as it doesn't hold much oil. This link will take you to a full explanation of the system, I hear it works well and doesn't really give problems. http://www.awdwiki.com/en/honda/
