Hi there, as you haven't reviewed these vehicles yet we were just wondered if any of theses are a good buy for the money. The Pulsar is $22,990.00 and the Cruze is 24,990.00. The vehicle is for my husband and myself only. We have taken them for a test run, have read a lot about the older models and looked at the scathing remarks from the Australia reviewers so have you got any advice for us.

Hi there,
We have not had the opportunity to test either vehicle, and have looked up the same reviews of the Cruze. But I do think the later ones are a better vehicle and any problems would have been addressed now. Looking at the specs, it would seem to now be a hard choice between the two. The noticeable difference between the two is the Nissan has a "one-speed" CVT transmission vs the 6-speed standard automatic of the Cruze. They both operate quite differently, with most preferences going by way of standard auto.

We drive a Ford Fiesta 2008 1.5 nearly a 1.6 I think, it has been a great little car but my husband doesn't want a european car and doesn't like ford. So comparing the two vehicle that we are looking at the Nissan Pulsar ST 1.8 feels very much like the ford driving. I know my husband liked the Holden but have only heard very negative reports and everyone says don't touch them. He would of prefer the holden as it is all decked out with latest things, where as the Nissan is ordinary but has lots of room for gear.
