Hi i know older cheap cars most likely to have more maintaince costs but if you had only $3000 to spend on a car, taking into account whether car has been maintained or in good cond over the years.
What brand of petrol car small to medium size 1800cc or under would you reccomend for least amount of ongoing problems, ages well and are there any brand cars that tend to get a lot of problems even if maintained?

Hi there,
I recommend buying a small Japanese car, these are usually pretty reliable and cheap to repair.
Makes like, Nissan Pulsar, Toyota Corolla/ Starlet, Mazda Demio, Honda Civic and Mitsubishi Mirage.
