Hey there, I'm looking at buying an automatic 2010 Corolla Auris and was hoping I could get an expert opinion on this car. There are lots of things in the description of it that I don't quite understand- apparently it has 'multi function steering' and 'push button start'. I also am not sure whether it has CVT or regular automatic transmission. Car safety is very important to me and I will be driving it around Dunedin where there are hills and sometimes ice. Thank you for your help! 😊

Hi there,
The Auris seems to be a popular little car, available in 1.5 and 1.8 form. Yes they have a CVT (1-speed) transmission, but Toyota seem to not really have any problems with their CVT's.
Multifunction steering wheel means that usually there are media or phone controls located on the wheel for easy access. Push button start take the place of the conventional key and ignition and uses a 'proximity' key. With key in your pocket, you can often open the doors and/or start the car with the push of a button.
Safety systems are hard to obtain for imported cars as they can have an unknown number of safety systems fitted or not fitted when compared to a Corolla NZ has of which they are based on.
