Hi there, I'm looking at purchasing a car and am considering am automatic 2007 Toyota Blade G. The particular one I'm looking at has done 75,000km, has 9 airbags and traction control. I was hoping for some information about and advice on this car, particularly considering safety, reliability, and fuel efficiency. I'm also not sure whether the transmission is CVT or not. Thank you!

EDIT: today I went to a car dealership and there were multiple 2WD Blades and one 4WD Blade, which only uses 4WD when a sensor senses that is required. Will the 4WD use significantly more fuel? And is the model reliable?

Hi there,
The Toyota Blade is based on the Corolla, and is an upscale version of the Auris. They are Japanese import models so specifics are not easily known and can vary.
The 2.4 engine looks good and is usually coupled with a CVT transmission, the 3.5v6 looks to possibly have a conventional A/T. Engines in the Blades are not particularly small and so I would not image the most fuel economic.
