Back to Fuel and economy

Forum Fuel and economy Hi there I have just bought a Toyota Aqua 2017 hybrid and was then advised that I should use 95 octane petrol rather than 91. Could you provide the d cons of using 91 octane rather than 95 or is likely to damage the engine if I use octane 91 petrol? r

Hi there,
Our Redbook spec information shows to use 91 octane fuel for the Aqua.
It might be best to speak with Toyota and see what they recommend. Generally if a vehicle requires 95 or 98 octane fuel and 91 is used, reduced performance and fuel economy can result and in some cases engine damage can occur.
