My employer wants to repay around 20c a km. i think thats pretty low, will that even cover my gas costs? he said it was worked out as paying me $3 for every litre i use, if i did 270km around a third of which is city driving, how can i work out how many litres i use? thanks!

The AA running costs are calculated for vehicles 2 - 5 years of age. A 1.6L petrol vehicle is calculated at 64.2 cents per km. AA members can download the running costs report by following this link and logging into My AA.
