hi i have two cars. At the moment i am using 95 octane. They are both x japan. and i was told at a service station that japan only has octane fuels higher that 98, so i should run both cars on at least 95 or 98 if i can find it.
how ever the first car is a 1997 mitsubishi lancer CK2A Engine No:   4G15.

the second car if a 2006 mitsubishi Lancer CS6A Engine No:   4G94.
thanks.

Hello according to our Data base both of these vehicle only require regular 91 octane.
For further details on servicing schedules consult your local AA service and repair shop, we regularly service typical Japanese cars like your Mitsubishi's.

Hi
I was told the same when I bought my 2006 Toyota Avensis last week. To only use 95 or 98 .... ? Can you please clarify? As this is what it has on the petrol cap.
Many thanks:)
