I saw a vehicle (horse truck) advertised on Trade Me which interested me. I asked the vendor some questions one of which requested advice on the engine horse power rating. We had a 170 hp truck and wanted more power. The vendor advised the truck was 195 hp and I purchased the vehicle on that basis only to recently learn from the NZ Agent that the engine size is 165 hp, or 5 less than what I had. I have the correspondence from the vendor stating 195 hp and the Agents brochure stating 165 hp. Had I known the true rating I would not have purchased the truck. Can you please advise if I have any claim for misrepresentation?
