i recently had a car accident where i hit the back end of another vehicle. i had recieved a summons for an infringment of carless driving D502. The person i hit was not satisfied with the settlement offered by aa insurance to them and contacted myself asking me to pay money outside of the settlement. on advising her that she would need to deal with my insurer around this matter ad advised by my case manager the lady has rung the police and had the charge upgrade to carless driving causing injury but i have been given no information around what the injury was.

Should i be seeing a lawyer around this as i have a cort date for the 10th of december. This change has come out of the blue and i would like some idea on how best to proceed.

Yes, I recommend speaking to a lawyer on this matter as there is quite a difference between these charges.
