Hi, we signed an offer to purchase document (not a sales agreement) and paid a deposit of $500.00 We then changed our mind (as on reflection, the deal was not in our favour at all) and the car yard will not refund the deposit as the "offer to purchase" document has on it "All Deposits Unless Specified are Non Refundable".

Yes, this is our mistake for not reading this agreement correctly, but just wondering if anyone knows how valid this document is and is it enforceable?

Thanks.

Hi there,
Unfortunately we see this quite a lot, it is a valid documant and is a very hard situation to get out of.
