Hi

I currently have a holden commodore SV6, which is due for replacement (company supplied).

I've thinking of asking to get paid out the car allowance and then getting my own car. What would be the top up to my salary that I should ask for/ expect, allowing for the fact that I currently have an SV6.

Personally I'm thinking around the $20k?

Did that all make sense?

Hi Ashwin,
The amount for salary top-up is dependant on the actual amount that would have been allowed for the vehicle price, and is negotiated at time of contract. I'm not aware of an industry approved standard or amount. Also part of the negotiation will be if fuel will be covered.
