Hello

I have owned my motorbike since brand new (5 months ago) and recently it started making a strange noise from the front sprocket. I have had the dealer take a look and they have told me that under load the chain is rising slightly and touching a rubber chain guide which is the cause of the noise. It's not a quiet noise and definitely was not there in the first few months of owning the bike. The chain has been tensioned by the dealer serveral times trying to eliminate the noise.

I was wanting to know if this is something that is likely to be covered under warranty?

Hi there,
If the bike chain is not supposed to be touching the guide under any circumstances, then it would be classed as a fault and one that needs to be remedied. And if the bike is under warranty then this should be carried out by the dealer.
