I am looking at buying a Honda Fit 2007. I am concerned that there is a roof rack and, at the four points where the rack is attached above the doors, the clamps have damaged the rubber door seals.

The owner says it doesn't leak but the seals are clearly damaged.

Is there a clever/easy way to check for leaks?

Is replacing these seals likely to be expensive?

HI there,
I imagine there would be a few of these cars around at the wreckers in order to obtain replacement rubbers- not hard to replace neither should they be expensive. An easy way to test is to get out the garden hose or water can and trickle water down them while someone is inside with a torch looking to see if any water leaks in.
