I have an annoying ticking noise from engine compartment when i start the car in the morning after being parked over night.(Can hear it clearly from inside the car) When the engine is reves is increased the ticking gets quicker.
When the engine heats up the noise goes, but still can hear it slightly. Car has done only 1900km.
Can anyone suggest what might be the problem. Very happy with vehicle otherwise.

Firstly you should take the vehicle back to the Kia dealer to have them listen to the sound. It could be a normal operating sound of the engine and this can easily be determined by comparing it to another new Rio 1.4L petrol. If it is found to be abnormal it could be a faulty hydraulic valve lifter causing the noise but the mechanic at the dealer can diagnose this by having a listen to the sound.
