Hi,

I have here a 1998 bmw 520i model car and yesterday, my headlights suddenly turned on by itself though all of the light switched were off and engine were off as well. What could be the possible cause of this and how can i fix it? Thanks!

There are numerous possible causes, but perhaps the most common cause would be a faulty headlight relay. However it could also be the dip switch (especially if it is the high beam that's on), the light switch or a wiring fault.
Still, the first thing I'd check would be the relay.
