Hi I'm looking to buy 4 new tyres size 195/65/R14, I've been looking at a consumerNZ article and they recommend Goodyear assurance and BFGoodrich Sport T/A for all categories. However when talking to the last 5 or 6 tyre retailers they have been trying to explain that they are not as durable as the Firestone TZ700. The consumer magazine doesnt test durability so its difficult to find out.
Is there any durability comparison literature available. or can someone with experience in the industry recommend a good brand/model out of the 3 above.

From my experience the Firestone TZ700 is a popular choice with a good reputation for durability.
