Have been reading about sudden unintended acceleration in the 2006 to 2009 camry vehicles.I was wondering if this problem has been detected here in NZ. Many thanks, Tom

No, we have not heard of a single case in New Zealand. Also, it is our understanding that a vast majority of claimed cases in the US proved to be driver error (ie, hitting the accelerator instead of the brake) or the mat jamming the pedal.
However, as I understand it, Toyota accepted liability and has agreed to a $1.6bn settlement.
